Sleep mode causes problems with auto login with livezilla

Postby JDubbed » Tue Feb 09, 2010 2:56 am

I have Windows 7 64bit edition. I just started using sleep mode to converse power and go green a bit. Anyways when my computer wakes from sleep livezille sits in the taskbar trying to login automatically. However it seems livezilla tries to login before the network controller connects which means livezilla will continue to try connect but fail and does this forever and stays gray. I have to manually tell it to login and then it works. The same thread here viewtopic.php?f=4&t=121&p=345&hilit=sleep&sid=ea6855ebb3e22f76520a739f15abc581#p345 talked about this an was explained there was a possible fix in an earlier version and according to the person who had the problem the problem got fixed after the version released. Well, it is now happening to me and was hoping there was a fix for it. Any ideas?

tries to login before the network controller connects

We are listening to the windows system events and some network drivers initiate this event to early.

person who had the problem the problem got fixed after the version released.

Yes, it's working now for most computers but there's still a problem with some drivers and we know about that. I am sure this problem will be fully resolved in the next update.

This problem still exists. Was a solution ever found?

When I manually connect it will connect but when someone trys to chat with me it immediately produces an error and closes.

The error:

ajfletcher, can try to reproduce this problem on another computer? I would need to know if this is a server or client problem.

Tried on another computer with the same result.
The other computer has the same motherboard as the first computer and is also running the same os. Windows 7 64bit Pro.

EDIT
Also tried on a Toshiba laptop which was able to resume from standby with no problems and accept a chat with no problems.
Running Windows Vista Home Prem 32bit.

This problem isn't a general one, it has to do with your hardware and I am pretty sure that the network card driver is the culprit.

Unfortunately, it's not that easy to come up with a workaround without being able to reproduce the problem. The only thing I can recommend is to try another network interface card, maybe you have on old one lying around.
