I have installed a trial version on my site to confirm that all works well.
However I am not able to add users to this.
The error I get is The remote server returned an error (406) Not Acceptable.
Is the trial version only for a single operator ?
If more number of users can be added, how do I do so.
Venky

Unfortunately, I am not aware of this error code. Any error messages on your LiveZilla Server Page (please post the URL)?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The server url is http://expertonlinet...in/support4_2/.
It shows the error for magic quotes but I do not know how to resolve this.

I had contacted the hosting provider who have informed that the magic quotes cannot be turned off permenently as it will affect the security of their servers.
They may however turn if off for some time to allow me to install the application.
Will that be of any help or does Magic Quotes have to be turned off permenently on the server for LIvezilla to run properly.?

as it will affect the security of their servers.
As this feature is deprecated and will be gone in the near future, we don't have plans to support it. Unfortunately, there's no workaround I am aware of.

I have now tried two hosts for hosting my Livezilla.
The first one was bluehost which did not allow 777 permissions.
Then I moved the hosting to globehost and there I have the problem of Magic Quotes.
I like to use livezilla but I am now fed up changing hosts to one where it works fine.
Could you let me know the following:

Could you let me know the following:
- What are the features that will not work if Magic Quotes is not disabled.
- Suggest a webhost where LIvezilla will work fine with no problems. I cannot keep moving my site around but can put livezilla on another server and link to my website.

Hi,
Magic Quotes is marked as deprecated and there's an official recommendation to turn it off and stop using it.
http://php.net/manua...magicquotes.php
I am sure your hosting company will turn this off for you instantly.

HI,
I did and I got the following answer from them:
Magic_quotes function is depreciated mainly due to performance reasons.
Our server is a high end server so we don't have issues in this matter.
It is enabled due to security reasons.
So I am back to square one.
Can you suggest a host where I will be able to make it work ?
Thanks.

This feature will be gone in PHP 5.4 anyway so there is no reason to not turn it off instantly. Sooner or later they will have to do this anyway.
I think that only a very few hosts have this feature still activated for new clients and even less will deny to deactivate it so it would be bad luck to get into the same situation again (but it's always possible to send an email an ask about this if you have found a host that looks promising).
However, I can only recommend companies I have worked with in the past and all of these companies are from germany so I am not sure if that would really help you.
