Hi There,
i do have problems to Install the Product with the Wizard.
I have restrictions on my database Server on which i can not install from outside.

Is there any possibility to do it complete manually ?

Thanks
Patrick

Sure, you can upload the files manually (Extract to local system) and the wizard also provides a MySQL dump you can execute directly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, but still i can not finish the installation with just uploading the webfiles and the SQL Dump. Where is the config file where i have to put in the Database informations. I really do not want to use the Wizard because there ist no access to the Database from outside for security reason.

What steps i have to do to set this totally manually ?

Thanks
Patrick

In fact, you have to use the wizard to enter the database details.

because there ist no access to the Database from outside for security reason.
No problem, you don't need access from outside. LiveZilla just passes the details through the php script to the database server.

From our installations guideline:

Host
The Hostname or IP of your MySQL / Database Server. Please note that all connections to the database will be initiated by the LiveZilla Server Script (PHP) and not by your local LiveZilla Client. In most cases, Webserver and MySQL Server are running on the same (logical) server which means that localhost will work as hostname. If your MySQL database is installed on a remote machine you will need to enter the hostname of the remote database server.

Hi There,
i did some screens, but they are in german not english.

I put my Database Informations onto that admin screen.
I can not save, i can not make the Table i can only get the Dump which i already have and imported into the Database on the Server. So i have the Webserver Files on the Webserver, i have the Database and the Dump but i can not go any further with the Wizard. It won't let me save or do anything else.

I always set new stuff like this in complete manual mode, here i can't

So what to do now ?

Thanks
Patrick

Before you start try to create or validate, please make sure that the URL of your LiveZilla Server Installation is correct (Server Test).

It fails on your screen and that's way you cannot proceed.

The correct server url will bring you to a page like this:
http://livezilla.net/livezilla/

Once you have entered and validated the correct URL, start again to create the database or create it from the dump and validate it through the wizard.

Same here, it might cause problems.

I would recommend to turn it off anyway.

ok, i did all the things you recommended but i can still not save. i also wrote the config file manually. I don't know if i don't understand what you try to tell me or you don't get what Problems i have. Still i need to validate the Database before i can save the settings to my windows wiazrd, right ? Again, i do not have the possibility to do that. The MySQL Server is not taking any response from outside. So how can i successfully write the config with username and password to the windows client. If i cancel at that point there is no username and pass to login the client. So what to do ?

I am getting frustrated.

Your problem can have different reasons, that's just what helped in the past when other users reported something similar.
I don't know anything about the condition of your installation or your webserver so there's no guarantee that I am right.

Feel free to provide me with all details necessary and I will try to setup it for you. Without any inside, there's not much I can do for you.

What kind of Informations do you need ? My login stuff to the Servers and Databases ? This would not solve the Problem.

Again ..
I did all the steps with the Wizard to install the Webserverfiles manually and also the Database. I made a new Database and imported the SQL Dump.
I manually changed the config file to fill in the Database Login data.

But where is the username an Password for the Login of the Client, the Windows Client ?
I have to stop the Wizard when i have to validate the Database. I guess after that the Login will be written somewhere.

So please tell me how to get this login for the windowsclient.
I need a possibility to totally manually set up this thing.

I did again some screens during the installation.
please donwload them here because i can not upload more.

Thanks
Patrick

This would not solve the Problem.
LiveZilla is a web application, that means that its functionaility (starting with the installation) totally depends on your webserver configuration. Uncommon configurations will result in uncommon problems. At this time, I have no Idea how your webserver configuration looks like and what problems may arise from it.

You cannot simply "skip" this step. The login data will be written to the database but when you are not able to validate your configuration/access it can not be loaded laterwards.

I have now installed this on a 1and1 server to get it to work. But this is not what i want.

I installed the code for the usertracking on our live site and got a whole lot of problems with some Popups appearing.
Are there any Problems with Modrewrite ? Can you tell me why i get those popups ?

The Site behind the Popup Windows is also not the Page which should appear. I get always the Homepage.

Yes, this won't work.

LiveZilla is not a website but a real time chat application so all kind of caching or rewrite modules should be turned off.
However, there's no need to run LiveZilla on the same webserver you website runs on.

It's not installe don the same server we are using it. it is a different Server. I put only the code snippets on the server we need the tracking. We do not need the Chat stuff, just the User tracking. And this is what happend using the client and the user tracking.

No, we generally don't allow refunds, once a license has been activated.

There's a 14 day trial to check if you webserver allows to run a real-time chat service like LiveZilla.

Btw. why don't you simply exclude the LiveZilla path in your mod_rewrite settings?
