Hi

I am attempting to install LiveZilla on my site to test, prior to purchasing it. I used it a while ago but have now noticed the significant updates. Last time, my IT manager installed it on a local server. He has since left so I am attempting to do it myself.

I have tested my FTP server. There wasn't a httpdocs file - so I created one. I then added the Livezilla folder and selected that folder to install Livezilla in. I don't know why i didn't have a httpdocs file. It is a wordpress site.

The transmitting of data is taking inordinate amount of time. At the moment it is 385K of 1.48MB. It has been doing this for at least 30 minutes. Sometimes it will time out, and then i press retry and then it continues to upload the files.

Is this normal? Why is it taking so long? Have I incorrectly done something? Why would it time out, but once pressing retry it will slowly upload. At this rate - it will take hours and hours for it to work - with me pressing retry when it fails. The connection has failed at least 5 times.

It is not my internet connection because im on a 12MB/s download and 2MB/s upload. I just did a speed test.

I would be pleased if someone could kindly assist me.

Thank you

Kind regards

Martin

That does not work, you need to find "your" public html folder.

Please understand that the installation of LiveZilla requires at least a basic understanding of your webserver and web technologies in general.

I can only recommend to find another professional that will do the installation for you.

Thank you Derek.

I have got someone to teach me these fundamentals and it's running properly.

If someone is a "newbie" to this type of installation - it appears my firewall was causing the dropouts.

Thank you again.
