I had been using livezilla for a couple of years and had been doing fine.
However suddenly I have started getting this error:

Insufficient Write Access (./uploads/)

Insufficient Write Access (./images/)

Insufficient Write Access (./banner/)

Insufficient Write Access (./_config/)

Insufficient Write Access (./_internal/)

Insufficient Write Access (./_groups/)

Insufficient Write Access (./_log/).

I have tried to update the server and tried a new installation but the error persists in the new installation also. I have checked the directories in the File manager of Cpanel but they all have permissions 777..
Can you help me please.
I am using LiveZilla_3.2.0.2.
thanks.

If this started all of a sudden it's possible that the webserver configuration has been changed. Did you ask your webhosting company / the person in charge for changes in the area of file permissions?

We had recently upgraded the server to PHP 5.3 by adding this code to the htaccess file :
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php53s .php .html
I do not know if this has anything to do with the problem.

LiveZIlla runs fine under PHP 5.3 so there must be some other changes in the background. Unfortunately, this can only be resolved by the person in charge of the webserver.

I had got in touch with Bluehost the hosting company for my site.
As per them: The 777 permissions do not work on our servers. It is important to note that the folder permissions should be set to 755, and file permissions to 644.
However even after doing that it is not working.

Further they have indicated that :

The problem isn't file permissions. Looking in those directories that are mentioned, they each have a .htaccess rule denying anyone from accessing the directory, like this one:

<Files *>
Order Allow,Deny
Deny from All
</Files>

Those would need to be commented out or the file renamed for access to be allowed there.

Please do let me know what to do. I am losing customers now as they are not able to contact me.

I am using Version 3.2.0.2 which is a free version. The latest versions are paid ones. I would like to continue to use the Free version.
Thanks.
