Hi,

I found a bug in ver 4.0.1.2.

When my employee is chatting with a customer I can right click on the chat and join (invisble) - works great but when I X out/close the chat window and then a few seconds or minutes later want to join chat (invisble) again I can't because when I right mouse click on the active chat in the window that opens with the options that option is greyed out - yes the chat is still going on between my employee and the customer.

Temporary solution is to exit the Livezilla client and then log back in and then I can right click join chat (invisble) again and I can see the chat going on.

Thanks

This is not a bug. There's no need to join it again.

You can find the ongoing chat under "My Chats" after closing the chat box.

Hope this helps.

I justed tested this and your half right.
When I join the chat invisible I can see the chat between my employee and customer - I then click the X button to close the chat window....I now do what you say and go to the "My Chats" tab and there is no chats for me to join invisble or even see - I have to right mouse click on my employees name and select "leave chat" - then down in the chats tab I can now right mouse click and select join chat invisble again.

I say your half right because you state "You can find the ongoing chat under "My Chats" after closing the chat box." - I can't see any ongoing chats in the My Chats - more importantly I can't join inivisble again and that is the whole point of this thread - I want to join invisble again but the option is not there - I can't see the current chat - I have to right mouse click on my employees name and select leave chat then I can right mouse click and join invisble again.

Maybe I shouldn't call this a bug but call it a backwards design flaw?

Thanks

Sorry, but I simply cannot reproduce what you are saying. The red X icon (top right) just closes the window and should have no effect on the "My Chats" treeview.

Is it possible that you are mixing "Chats" (bottom panel) and "My Chats" (left panel)?

No - I think you are starting this test by making your status "Online" - then you are accepting the chat request - then you are starting my bug report example from this point and clicking the X button and then you go back to your My Chats and you can still see the chat.

My test is - status set to away - my employee takes chat from customer and they are chatting - I go to bottom of my screen and see the active chats and right mouse click join chat invisble - now up top I see my employee chatting to customer - then I click the X so the chat window is gone and I can't see their chat anymore and yes they are still chatting - I now want to see the chat - how do I do this? You say to go to "My Chats" and I should be able to see the active chats - I'm there and I don't see any active chats?

That's exactly what I did.

We will have to review the source code again, there must be a difference in our both configurations that results in diffferent behaviours.

Thanks.

ok, I thought you might have taken the chat instead of join invisible because you mention you clicked the "red X" - my X is not red it's greyed out because I joined the chat invisble - that's why I thought you did the test wrong.

Thanks.

I did some more testing and this is not a bug.

You are right - the chat is still in the "My Chats" left panel which I always knew and never disagreeded but how do you see the actual chat again? Meaning I X out of the chat window and it's gone and yes in the My Chats left panel I can see the chat name-Customer name but how do you view the chat again - right mouse click doesn bring back the chat window - clicking once on customers name doesn't bring back the chat window - SO I DOUBLE CLICKED ON THE CUSTOMERS NAME AND NOW THE CHAT WINDOW IS DISPLAYED and now I can see my employee chatting with my customer again.

This is a hidden/undocumented way of bringing back the chat window - myself and others wouldn't have figured this out easly but with more testing I just tried every method to bring back the chat window. I would suggest being able to right mouse click on the customers name in the My Chat left panel window and have an option there to bring back the ongoing chat window.
