Is it possible to have chat box inside the window that user browse? live olark or zopium?

Also, this should have same session even if the user browse between pages.

We did a lot of testing and an overlay chat was already done but due to the negative side effects (worse user experience, especially on small displays, SEO and loading time) we decided to not strive for that any further.

That's a real big shame, this is the main reason I left using LiveZilla and used another live chat software that didn't require a pop-up. We found that when trying to initiate chat sessions many users browsers were blocking pop-ups and as most of our user base are not very literate with computers most didn't even realise their pop-up blocker was causing live chat to fail. Whilst the chat window might be smaller, I've seen a bigger increase in users contacting us on live chat since the change.

LiveZilla is a great piece of kit and would like to return so can only hope you at least add this feature as optional so that we can decide ourselves what is negative to user experience.

Best,

James Morris

James,

Thanks for your thoughts.

No, I cannot confirm that, not at all. When the pop up follows a user click you won't have any problem with the pop up blockers. You are the first user ever reporting this. If you try to open a window without a user click, yes, that doesn't work - but that's not part of our application and it was never meant to work this way.

We get requests for this certain feature constantly and since the development of LiveZilla is 99% user driven we will add it. Although we still think that the disadvantages prevail. But you are totally right, it should be your decision, not ours.

Hi,

I don't know why this site Registration Form doesn't allow my Yahoo and Google Email address!!!-So It took me 10 minutes just for creating an account to reply to this topic because I really want this Feature too.

Also I've met what PhoneSupport said too; The Windown-Pop-up issue occurs for me when using a style(It's random and I don't remember which)but after switching to another style it's gone;

I really like LiveZilla but I'm thinking about switching to Zopim because it will make my site sell more! It'll be more than great and I'll stay with LiveZilla if it has the option for inside window chat like Zopim!

Thanks!

Because 99% of the registrations using one of these email providers are made by spam bots. I am sorry for the trouble.

Thanks for your thoughts. As stated before, we will add this in the near feature.

I recommend to vote for the facebook like chat here as well:
