Hi. I have Livezilla installed on my NAS server: 500Mhz and 128MB Ram, with a Webserver and MySQL Database. Livezilla works, but it is realy slow to start the chat. Allso sending messenges when im offline, its slow to load. Is the NAS to slow?
I have looked at some perfermance while using Livezilla, just on LAN network, and one chat open. It uses some Ram, the half of it, and load CPU for a second. When chat runs and sending messeges, the time from sending and receiving messeges takes up to 10 or 15 seconds. My english is bad :) Still hope you'll understand the quastion.
Another quastion:
Is it possible to use client online only, whitout the program installed and just webbased?.
Becouse my Webhotel dos not allow me to contact the MySQL Database from my home ip. I have a Database on Webhotel, but all data must only go to and from localhost on the server. Thats why i bougth the Nas server, just a bit disappointed the performance. I notice the chat Livezilla supporters chat loads, it loads quickly and no to much wating.
Hope you can help me!

I am having the same problem. Chat is too slow.
I also changed LiveZilla Server Admin / Server Confiuration / Server / Performance / Client Poll Frequency and Visitor Poll Frequency in 3 and 20 from 15 and 30, but the same.

This must be related to your internet connection or your webserver then. Hard to say where the bottleneck is.

The slowness issue just started happening with our installation as well, which up to now was running smoothly for several months. Steps we have taken to improve the speed include:
  • Increasing client poll frequency to 15 seconds
  • Increasing visitor poll frequency to 30 seconds
  • Deactivating GeoTracking
  • Checked memory / CPU utilization of server - barely 10% in use on web server and MySQL server.
We also checked the size of the tables on the server and found them to be normal. Our website gets less than 100 visitors a day. That chat window can take up to 20 seconds to load. What other factors may cause the slowness?
