Remove Email Field for Online not Offline Chat

I have modified the Online Chat window:

By modifying the code of "lz_chat_frame.3.2.login.1.0.tpl" as:

I have modified the Offline Chat window:

By modifying the code of "lz_chat_frame.3.2.mail.tpl" as:

How do I set this up properly so that the field for "Email" is hidden when entering info for Online chat but it is available to enter "Email" address when leaving an Offline message without the text "Not-Applicable" in the input box upon opening it?
