Hello,
I have LiveZilla 3.1.7.7. installed and tried to update it to 3.1.7.9, but without success.
It starts downloading the new version, then asks to install it and then windows vista comes up with a window to accept the installation, but then nothing happens...
Any suggestions?
I don't want to loose all my settings when updating, is it possible too?
thanks

Hello,
I am also having a big trouble with the new upgrade. The system keeps always saying:
"unable to unistall old version of livezilla"
The point is I deleted the folder, hidden folders in "Documents and Settings", cleaned the registry and nothing. I can't install the new version.
Windows XP.
I would appreciate a hand!,
Thanks.

Sounds like a terrible bug in our Install Software (InstallAware). Please make sure that you have administration privileges (run as administrator).
In the InstallAware Forum I found the recommendation to use MsiZap for deinstallation in this case. I am sorry for this annoying problem!

Hello pkeil,
Thank you so much for your support!.
I did some research about MsiZap and I found a better tool from Microsoft:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... sicuu2.exe
You may want to try it, it's a little program you install and it detects all the msi packages installed in your pc. In my case, there was an old livezilla version, I selected it, then "erase" and worked like a charm.
Next I could install correctly the newer version of your chat system.
Have a great day!.
