When I try to change the text in the admin utility to a non english language
Then do a preview of the changes, The text will display only as ?????????? instead of the proper characters.
I assume the page is being compiled in UTF-8 but this definately appears to be a charset problem.

ANy ideas on how to get this working??

THanks

Your Image point to a local file, nobody except you is able to see it. Please attach the image file.
Which text are you talking about?
The Infofield?

There should be no problems at all with special chars.

Did you try to embed the code into your website?

Its possible that the Preview Page has a wrong encoding statement.

Yeah already tried it and the result is the same...
But switching off Javascript works and displays the correct characters..

So If I switch off the java then I will not have the functions for tracking right??

Thanks

LiveZilla comes with full UTF-8 support. Japananese / Chinese chars need other encoding types which may not work.

Please consider to create two images (containing your text for online/offline) and use a Graphics Chat Button then. That will work fine.

Hmmm ok will try it that way but ur incorrect about UTF-8.
All my sites only use UTF-8 and have no problem.
Am only thinking how this will affect the application once I upload my translation file to be implemented into the next version..

Maybe once I have done that u can give me a heads up before the release so I can check the output..

THanks

You are right!

I just gave it a try with some other special chars and they are not working either.

I will investigate in this issue, thanks for your help!
